Who We Are

 
We have been serving our clients for over 75 years and at Alabama Credit Corporation (ACC) we are committed to providing you with quality loans, related financial products and services backed by prompt and consistently top quality service. While information about you and your account with us is fundamental to our ability to do this, we fully recognize the importance of keeping personal and account information secure. 

 
To offer you our diversified range of loans, products, and financial services, Alabama Credit Corporation may share information about you both within ACC and outside ACC with other companies. This allows us to offer you financial products and services that may interest you and best meet your needs, whether they are directly available from ACC or through our relationships with other companies. We also want to be in a position to respond to inquiries by your other creditors about your credit record with us should you list our company and account with us as a credit reference and these companies decisions are based on your record with us. We want you to understand our information safeguards, what information we collect, what information we share, with whom, and the benefits you receive when we share information.
 
Information Safeguard Procedures

Alabama Credit Corporation understands the importance of protecting and securing information and using it appropriately. Access to information about you is restricted to the employees of ACC who require it to provide our financial products and services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards for security of information. We train and educate our employees about the meaning and requirements for customer data security and confidentiality. 
 
We do not sell or share our customer mailing lists with third parties or other companies for marketing purposes. When we share information about you with companies outside of ACC, it is usually because you have given ACC as a credit reference and/or have an account with the other company. We require such companies to properly identify themselves and use the information only for a permitted or authorized purpose. 
 
Information We Collect

Alabama Credit Corporation, as part of our operations, collects and uses nonpublic personal information about you to conduct our business and to consistently provide you with top quality diversified loan products and related financial services such as insurance policies, motor clubs, etc., that you have come to expect from us. 

Sources of this information include the following:

. Information we receive from you on applications, other forms, or through correspondence or communication with us through mail or telephone, such as your name, address, telephone number, employer, income, credit references, and financial position; 

. Information about your transactions with us, other ACC companies, or other third parties, such as your account balance, payment parties to transactions, your credit history, or employment/income verification; 

. Information from consumer reporting agencies, under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, public records, data collection agencies, or demographic and marketing companies such as your obligations with others, credit history and creditworthiness, telephone numbers, marketing profiles, and other demographic data. 

Information We Share Within Alabama Credit Corporation

We may share all of the information we collect about you with our affiliates and subsidiaries to offer additional products or services that may interest you and best meet your loan needs. We believe this is convenient for you and may save both time and money. To do so, we may share identification information, transaction and experience information, credit eligibility information, and other information in our files. The decision to accept loan offers, services, or related products is yours alone.

Information We Share With Others

We DO NOT disclose your nonpublic personal information to direct marketers, retailers of other services, or non-profit organizations. We may disclose nonpublic personal "information as described above about our customers and former customers to the following types of parties: 

. To non-financial companies that perform services or functions on our behalf such as printers, mail distribution companies, accounting firms, our attorneys, or independent contractors such as financial system companies that provide programs and software; 

. To consumer reporting agencies under the Fair Credit Reporting Act as permitted by law, such as your creditworthiness and credit history, or to government entities in response to subpoenas received or regulatory requirements. 

. To financial service providers such as insurance companies or motor clubs with whom we have agency agreement to provide insurance policies and products in connection with the loans we extend. 

. To other financial service providers such as non-affiliated consumer finance companies or banks with which you have an account or where you have made application and gave ACC as a credit reference. 

. To non-affiliated third parties as permitted by law.
